Everyone has driven tired, but what's the deal with this. After a cop pulls you over I would, 1. wake up just because of the adrenaline rush, at least long enough to not to crash 5 minutes later, or 2. Realize how tired I am and take a nap or something. Sounds like this driver didn't have any common sense at all.
-
Suicide perhaps
-
Might have been a stroke.
-
Possibly a diabetic reaction also, some folks never see a doctor and have it and not ever know it.
-
If we're gonna guess, I'm putting my money on the last three posts. Most likely a logical reason for the crash, especially after being pulled by law enforcement 5 minutes earlier.
-
Diabetic reaction/comma: There is no way the officer should not have known if the person was having one of these. When you have a diabetic sugar issue, it's like you are drunk. You slur and are beligerent. Trust me, my mom is one and she gets made if I laugh at her for what she is saying and I am not laughing at her I am laughing with her. So unless it was bad on the officer, I doubt it was anything to do with sugar.
Stroke: Possibly, I don't know much about strokes. Would the driver not have acted funny to the officer??? I would think so, then again maybe he hid the symptoms thinking he is ok and went on thinking it was just mind over matter?
Suicide: Would be a bigger possibility.
What it could have been is he is tired and the rush of the cop got him straight for a minute and he thought ok I am really fine no need to stop and crashed cause he was tired. If I got pulled over by a cop and I was drunk and the officer didn't notice, I would think hey I am all ok so I will keep cruising no problem (not really me though, but have driven drunk, shhh). So maybe that's what happened. I do know his qualcom will tell all if he has one! Unfortunately
Just my thoughts there -
All good points LogsRus, especially about the Diabetic reaction. In fact, diabetes is often used as a defense in criminal DUI prosecutions. Though I can't support why, I don't get a "suicide" vibe on this one.

I don't either! I honestly feel the driver was really tired and he straightened up and lost it! Being fatigue is liking being drunk, that's why I said what I said! It stinks but I hear it is true, actually I have been there. I was to tired, but I was smart enough to realize someone else's life was in danger and asked them to drive. Had I been alone?????? I may not be here today

Fatigue is likely
- but I'm thinkin - even if the driver got a rush there would have been physical signs of his extreme fatigue like unilateral pupil dilation, red eyes, giddiness, irritability or a pale face that the deputy would have picked up on. The artic said "The deputy felt that everything was in order"
Maybe the road needs work. He hit a pothole and it caused a front tire blowout. Lost control.
Well, until we know what,
Im marking that area as !DANGER! in my Randy McNally .
