I know that I've been away from trucking for a few years, but when I stopped at a Flying J truckstop in PA this week and also at a small station in WV, they both had short hoses on the diesel pumps so that I could only fill one tank. What's up with that??
What's up with short hoses on diesel pumps?

You didn't notice the satellite pump on the passenger side for fueling the other tank?
marinevet93, chompi, Rerun8963 and 5 others Thank this. -
they are more than likley sick of people running over the hoses when they pull in to fuel crimping them and making the pumps pump slower. just an opinion.

Classic!!! Either that or he filled one side, turned around backed in and filled the other! That's funny man!!! It's ok just a newbie mistake. I am glad you pointed it out though, you make an excellent point as to how important it is to go out with a trainer after finishing school! It's stuff like that you don't realize and they don't teach in school!

shorter hoses prolly cost less, bigger profits after they gouge us with the fuel price..
