Corbin, KY.
I drove "the gorge" again today. Saw an EB truck with SMOKIN' brakes. I was really suprised that trailer was not on fire yet the way those brakes were smoking.Hamshoe Thanks this. -

I watched a CRE smoke his brakes coming down Eisenhower into Denver. These are the same idiots who will blast their horns at you on their way past and fuss at you on the radio for doing the posted 35mph.
I drove a truck that did not have jakes...through the Tennessee/North Carolina Gorge, in West Virginia, on I-68 in Maryland, down the west side of Cabbage and a few other challenges. Don't remember which old hand said it, but the statement of simply finding the right gear and taking your time is spot-on. -
In a picnic area somewhere between Houston and Dallas heading to Lancaster

Good night from home for the weekend!
Hamshoe Thanks this. -
That drive isnt bad at the right speed but i have seen a few trucks fly down that thing--quite scary--some i never thought would make it to the end in one piece. Like injun said--at right speed its not bad.
Hamshoe Thanks this. -
I agree...correct gear and speed....at night and heavy makes things a bit more interesting...I have a hard time determining if i am going uphill or downhill sometimes...lol

Same. Still trying to find a way to solve this. Used to be able to tell by watching the arrows on the mpg display but my solo truck has a janky display so no go on that.Hamshoe Thanks this.
