It is used for water treatment. Non hazmat. Also the name is due to the thickness, nasty stuff.

Waste water treatment polymer. Its thick and slimy. When you add water to it it grows. Its not hazardous and is used as a filter flock to precipitate dirt out of water.

We haul it to coal mines, gold mines and municipal water treatment plants. Its nicknamed elephant snot by the tank wash guy. Lots of places won't clean tanks with it because it can clog pipes when it grabs dirt and grows. Get some on your hands and they will stay dirty for days.

Its a good recession proof product that runs steady regardless of the economy. Reefer drivers like to say "everyone has to eat". Well once they eat they take a crap and that's where we step in. :biggrin_25523:

Sitting at the Petro in Cubero NM 120 miles away from my 07:00 truck pump delivery Monday. I have a whopping 3.75 hours left on my 70 and won't pick up any rollover hours until midnight Monday. There are no truck stops in this town but one online guide lists the Walmart as a truck stop and its only 2 miles away from the plant.

This product is some type of acrylic resin. They gave me about a gallon as a sample and a little solid piece to show the color with the COA.

It might come off pretty fast but I doubt I will have any hours left on my 70. If they won't let me stay there until midnight est I will have no choice but to drive over my 70 to get to the Walmart. Good planning there SPCR.

This is working out pretty well. They are letting me stay at the plant and they even have a nice break room with free coffee and a locker room with reasonably clean showers. I think I will buy a couple of Pizzas for lunch as thanks for the hospitality.

Waiting a "couple of hours" for the lab now. Take your time lab I can't go anywhere anyway until midmight. Might as well get paid for it.

I was dead headed around 1000 miles to Memphis. Usually I get a load going home to Greensboro but that didn't happen this time. They have me drop/hooking a load sitting in Magnolia Ar heading to Millsdale Il delivering Friday morning. That's another 1100 miles or so. Hopefully I will get something preloaded out of there since I will only roll over 6, 7.5, 6.5, 3.5 hours Sat-Tues. Its busy out here.

Sitting at Markham getting a reset in. Loading at Stepan Millsdale, Il at Midnight Saturday night, Delivering in Cambridge Ohio Sunday morning then dead heading to the house.

It will probably be Monday before I get home. This load is screwed up time wise. I don't have time to take a 10 hour break after loading and make my appointment but if I run straight to the plant I will be early. It loads 3/20 at 00:30, delivers at 1300, and is 450 miles away. I plan to show up at the plant around 09:00 and hope they can take me early. Worse case is a split break.
