BTC is beginning to put them in the new trucks. My cornbinder has prepass and ezpass now. Are you in a truck with elogs? If you are, and don't have them yet Id call Gary and talk to him about it.

I believe it. I thought winter time was take it easy time but I've been running like a sum ###### the past few weeks. Only one time in the last three weeks have I waited more than 45 minutes for a load after sending in empty call.
Well hell, I hadn't heard about that. No, I've got an 08 so I still run through scales and pay tolls out of pocket -
will anyone tell me if BTC hires out of Baton Rouge or Franklinton,LA. Which is 62 mile dew north of New Orleans. I know back in the early 80's they had a terminal in Franklinton. Thanks, God bless and safe running to all

That isn't the same BTC. This Builders Transportation is out of Memphis, TN. Always has been...

Where did everybody go? BTC must be bustin' some #####, keepin you all busy. I am considering BTC and will be talking to a recruiter Tuesday 10/25/11. I have been all over their website and this thread (only one I have found about them), VERY INTERESTED...
Smerritt08- how's it going out there right now- late Fall of 2011, still busy with miles & frieght? They treating you good? I would love to hear. -
Update. BTC Recruiter visited my class today, and said that they DO now have EZPass, and are almost done upgrading their equipment to all brand new Mack trucks, the Freightliners are being phased out. He also said that they have lots of freight. Anyone out there driving for them that can confirm?

yeah I got my pre-hire letter last week from them....the only problem is that they cant get me into orientation until after Thanksgiving....still planning on going though....Im fairly sure that recruiters arent 100% honest or 100% informed 100% of the time so I really cant wait to form my own opinion of things but so far it all sounds pretty good to me.

I drove for BTC for a year...I will summarize in a few short words.
I called the shop asking to have some air fittings fixed on the brake chambers b/c they were leaking when you moved them. They fought me on it and eventually convinced me to run it back to Memphis from Maryland to get fixed. Of course, I get a level 1 in Maryland, and get hit with warnings, along with CSA points.
A week later, I get called into talk to AJ, and he fires me b/c I got 40 CSA points in one shot. lol...REALLY???
Now...I enjoyed my time at BTC, and in general the company really does have some good people there. HOWEVER...THE SHOP IS TERRIBLE enough to keep me from recommending anybody to go there. They did give me my shot right out of school, and treated me fair while I was there...
If you are going there out of school, I would say to give it a shot...the trainers are HARD AS **** on you, but you will know how to safely pull a skateboard when you are done with your 4 weeks in the trainer truck. -
I drove for btc for 6 months. I left on good terms to take a local driving job. Great place to work but the shop is absolutely terrible! Avoid getting anything fixed at memphis at all costs.

Any newer info on btc? Hows the pay/miles/new mack trucks working out?
