I hadn't heard that......

I still see Swifty pulling MS trailers, those things must be ancient by now! -
Yea, I see them too, I live by the PA Pike. I also see alot of the old MS Freightshakers too, but only the "Container Clowns" have them. Most of them are well over a million miles.

On the positive side, MS Carriers treated the driver's very well!
On the negative side - 1) I really hated running FedEx overnight freight. 2) I hated that single-seat drivers didn't get to go very far west of I-35.
It was a job that had it's good points and it's bad points. I enjoyed my time there, but I'm glad I moved on... -
When Mike and Mrs.Starnes was going through their divorce the judge made mike sell and split 50/50

In the past week I have seen two MS trailers being pulled by Swift trucks on I-24 by Clarksville TN -
I hated running the grocery warehouses too. Had some good times there though with the other drivers running down the road.

Ah yes!! A Movie Star in a 2 story cabover Freightshaker!!
Back in the days before Qualcom,Satellite,Cell phones and Electronic Logs. Back when U had to stand in line at a pay phone to call dispatch. And if you didnt call, he had no idea where you were. Ha!.
Back when, if the dispatcher wasnt giving you miles. You went into a drop/hook shipper, instead of getting that 200 mile load dispatch told you to get. You hook to a 1500 mile load and haul booty. Call him 2 days lateran tell him where you were.
Good Times !!!lonelyswmtrucker Thanks this.
