I recently got my hands on a Conexx 3300 (for free) and I was just wondering what everyones opinion is on this radio. I have only owned Cobra and Uniden radios but have always wanted a bigger radio and I couldn't pass up this great offer from the guy who gave it to me. Are there any pros or cons to this paticular radio? Do you currently own one or owned one in the past? How did you like the radio? Thanks.

It is a average " EXPORT" radio and a very good buy for what you paid for it

i bought my 3300 in 95 & still use it. it's been very dependable & durable.

My boss has a connex 3300 in my truck at work, it seems to work great, he said hes had it for over 15 years, so that shows alot.

same radio as a general lee........ very reliable radio

What are you guys call an "EXPORT" radio. Hell, most of them are export in the true meaning of the word.

Connex radios are CBs on steroids. They're pretty much built to be low quality 10-meter Ham radios, but are more geared to CB'ers who want a radio that does more watts. A ham will correct me if I'm wrong, but (tongue-in-cheek) they were only intended for sale outside of the US, but somehow found a loophole in order to sell them here.

I like my connex alot but i find my magnum to be a better radio for sure. I still carry my connex as a back up.

I only use the term LOOSEY ....

I understand. I was confusing "export" with "import" anyway.
