Good luck to you, I'm guessing by now your at the hotel. Its not to bad I'm a week down, and have learned a lot. As I'm sure everyone has told you, there going to be throwing a lot at you. Just do your homework, and ask questions.

Yeah hopefully, as long as I don't run over a miata or one of these weird wisconsin people who jog in the middle of the road, when its 19 degrees out

Hey there, sorry about the delay . . . I didn't have computer access until now. Started RDTC on 3/14 and completed the first week with minimal problems. The course certainly isn't easy though. The class is top notch, and the instructors and resources are excellent. Roehl stresses safety as they should, and they appear to be fairly selective in the drivers that they choose to employ. Two of the six of us that started the course on Monday were sent home by Thursday. I have a whole new respect for truck drivers now . . . its much more difficult to drive a rig than a car, not to mention thinking about space management, speed management, trip management, etc.. I'm really enjoying the course and looking forward to earning my CDL and starting my driving career with Roehl.

For what reasons were two people sent home?

One person couldn't pass the physical test and was falling asleep in class. The other was having trouble with shifting. If you are thinking about attending this class you had better be serious about what you are doing and why you are here. Roehl did not become one of the better carriers by hiring just anyone.
