Hello everyone
It’s my first post here and I can’t seem to figure out my question after extensive research.
I have low HP 3406e(2ws08414) with a 1439153 camshaft. One of my injector lobes is starting to get worn down. I ordered a replacement camshaft through YNG LLC. They sent me 1390538 camshaft which is rated for the higher hp arrangements. They said that they bet their left nut on it that it will work with no problems. On the contrary the cat dealer say that these cams don’t interchange, but they don’t have info on how they differ . What will happen if I put the
1390538 into 1439153 engine arrangement? -
The difference between the two cams is injector lobe lift. The one they gave you has 0.010 more lift than one engine calls for. Intake and exhaust are same lift. Cat does not give specs on duration or lobe separation angle.
