On march 9th at apx 2am a harris county sheriffs deputy according to sheriffs dept investigators the deputy was responding to an officer assist call. The deputy was traveling at a high rate of speed and came over hill and slammed into to semi which was doing 60mph. The damage to the squad car consisted of total destruction from just behind driver seat forward. Deputy had to be cut out of car! Accident occured on beltway 8 in Houston tx
According to a dept spokesperson they stated that the deputy believe he was doing the speed limit as well.

There statement was the truck driver wouldn't be charged because he has doing speed limit. Last I checked the one rear ends someone is at fault.

How do you catch someone and hit them if you're matching their speed?...Wormhole?...

Unless the statement meant the deputy said the TRUCK was doing the speed limit...No way the deputy was...

The way it read to me, the deputy thought the truck was doing the speed limit. It was already admitted the deputy was driving at a high rate of speed, in those words. He was going to an officer assist call.

If anything is done to the driver of the truck, I'm sure we will hear about it.

Let's leave the speculation to the people driving petroleum prices up and down.
