I'm 57. Been driving heavy trucks since I was 16. Mainly Class b and fire trucks. Qualified to drive tractor trailer hook and ladder truck, both tractor and tiller (the rear driver position, best ride there is!) Drove OTR for FedEx Custom Critical in class d straight truck as contract driver for owner. Enjoyed it and actually made a few dollars when I could keep a co-driver who didn't want to deadhead home every weekend or park with both of us in the sleeper (Team sleeping, I guess). Been driving local now for 5 years, mainly because it provided insurance. Now have insurance covered. Just me and the beagle, so looking to upgrade to Class A cdl & go back on the road, probably company driver or contract driver. Been looking at company websites and found out I can find the other side of the story by checking out this forum. So, thanks for the help I've already gotten and the help I know I'll receive in the future.

Thanks for the welcomes. I started looking to see where some of you are from and realized it doesn't matter where you're FROM, where you ARE may be just one lane over.
