If your a company driver and planning on going for a job at KLLM, dont. They do not value there company drivers. I was at there terminal in jackson ms. and they were pulling there company drivers in and taking there trucks away to put into lease purchase program. They told me it was going to be a 3-8 week for a truck.
KLLM, dont like company drivers.

My husband had to wait a few days for his truck after he upgraded in December. He picked up a truck and was told from the start that it was only temporary, it was designated as a lease truck. He drove it for a few weeks and then finally got his new truck, an almost brand-new Volvo. Supposedly they have a truck shortage right now, but that could just be a ploy to encourage the lease plan.
-
They don't have a truck shortage! That's a bunch of bs! They like a lot of other companies are trying to force a fleece on drivers!!
-
You aint tellin me nothing I dont know. I just dont want to lease. Now if your in the market to lease one they are great, but leasing aint for everyone, even if it is a walk away lease.
-
I was just trying to give you some hope that although my husband had to wait for his truck, he at least was in a different truck working, not just sitting around waiting for his truck.
-
Take the truck away and then set you?
File for unemployment and see how fast they put you back in a truck or just fire you for some violation of company rules which will get them off of having to pay those costs! -
These guys who never even worked there need to stop ,I worked for them till last august ,for 2.5 years .they are a fair company ,I chose to lease it was never forced on me ,as a company driver for 1.5 years I always got 2500 mi atleast .only reason I left was that I got a local dedicated run .and I just gave my lease truck back ,and left no problems .
leannamarie Thanks this. -
These companies are trying to force lease deals! They won't come out and say lease or else but there actions will say that. These co's are just trying to get someone else to pay all of their expenses while they reap larger profits!
Rollover the Original Thanks this. -
You can't blame a company for encouraging a lease deal, it is win-win for them. They can encourage all they want, but they aren't forcing. My husband still gets his 3000 mile weeks as a company driver.

I'm with Iceman. I was leased to KLLM about 5 years ago and really liked them. They were honest, fair, paid exactly what was in my contract and the miles were very good. I rarely met a company driver who was unhappy. The fact that I'd met a slew of company drivers -- who had been with for more than a year -- was one thing that attracted me to the company in the first place. I really like the people and dispatch was outstanding.
I realize that things change over time but I'm surprised to hear that "Clem" is screwing over drivers. It might be interesting to hear from some of their other drivers.
