I know from personal experience that yea Stevens will reschedule, however ONLY if needed. If there is a way for the person to make load on time then they will not reschedule.

With no or limited experience Stevens Transport is as good as it gets. Their maintainance on the trucks is impecable. You aint gonna make over 30 k the first year anywhere as an OTR driver
Corporal_Clegg and skullitor Thank this. -
My boyfriend is in training with Stevens. The trainer had a problem with him, and left him in Little America, Wyoming. The trainer was 6'5" and was threatening to beat him up. Is there any chance that Stevens will actually help him? Or can he assume his job is over?
-
As I said on your other post, it depends on the story. He needs to contact his counselor for further instructions. Stevens doesn't just leave you out in the middle of no where without resoultion to the situation.

He's trying to reach the counselor, and the counselor isn't answering his phone or returning his calls. He's been there since Saturday night with no help.
-
Then he needs to contact safety @800-572-7094 and they will get him in touch with someone. Dont just set around waitting, be persistant cause it might take a couple of calls to get in touch with the right person. And yes they do have some bad trainers, not sure if they do anything about it.

Safety said it can take up to a week for them to get him out. We just want to make sure he has a job. He is fine with being there for a couple of days if that is what it takes, but he needs to know...

Have him call Randall at x1171 directly.
Randall's ultimately in charge of trainees and what truck they're on.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -
A dear friend of mine's trainer nearly did the same thing to him when he was about half-way thru training. NOT GOOD.
My friend has had so many loads taken off him, given wrong directions, wrong deliver times, wrong load times.... It's pathetic. A girlfriend's husband tells me Stevens has the absolute worst reputation among truckers for those, and more, reasons. You pay Stevens for training, and you pay them for anything else they can think of, and of course, it's ALL your fault. My friend was sent to NYC during one of their bad storms. He was fined for idling even though the temp was below their rules. Who has to pay up, my friend. Stevens won't make an effort to fight it even though my friend had no other way to keep warm and it was way below freezing, I mean WAY below. Steven's won't help any trucker I'm told, no matter if he's guilty or innocent. I think my friend is finding that out again right now. His job will likely be terminated later this week thru no fault of his own. Steven's people are nuts, to say it nicely. -
Stevens don't pay when you're called in for "safety." And they take their good sweet time about finding and repairing anything wrong with the rig.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.
