Aflac drops Gilbert Gottfried after he tweets jokes about Japan crisis. Now that's messed up, Gilbert Gottfried is the voice of the duck on the insurance commercial. Guess he's money weighs over his morality.

That is wrong on so many levels. I'm glad they dropped him.

Wow, what a lowlife! A man with zero class for sure.
Here's a link to the story ...

He made his living being sarcastic, and now he has lost part of that living because of sarcasm. He just had to one up everything without giving compassion to anyone.
HFC Thanks this. -
Some people just don't know when to ####, even when they don't open their mouth.

and unfortunately any time you see someone doing something that doesn't quite look right and you wonder if they are (insert adjective here) very shortly they all seem to have to say something just to verify your observation.

Initially, I thought "Hey, I am the only person from the law firm of Crude, Rude & Lewd ... Gilbert is trying to get some of my limelight".
But this is standard operating procedure for his brand of comedy. He just was telling jokes by shooting or texting from the hip.
Should have AFLACK canned him ? ... They thought that people would cancel their policies if they did not and it was a profit driven decision. Some AFLACK executives are probably in their offices right now, shaking their heads and laughing ... "Oh, that Gilbert !"
Why did he feel it was necessary to tell the world through tweeting those jokes instead of waiting for a paid gig on a comedy stage? I don't know.
He should have applied the brakes to his mouth first but that type of comedian does not do that. Has anybody checked to see what Don Rickles has to say about the Japan earthquake?
Remember, as with comedy --- timing is everything --- he shot off his mouth, or his fingers during the time of Tiger Woods and Charlie Sheen losing their corporate sponsorships.
Gilbert isn't the only person who got canned ...

BTW -- I know three people that have no reports from close and middle level family members living in Japan. Two are Caucasian Americans and one is Asian American.Last edited: Mar 15, 2011

He was compelled to always do that, no matter what. Some would call it a sickness, Making people disgusted often comes back to haunt those that practice the 'art'.
I can understand it from both sides, too. I used to be sarcastic, now I'm just cynical. I hold high regard for no celbrity, they almost all have something going on that their fans would rather not acknowledge.HFC Thanks this. -
Guess some people still havent gotten over a unprovoked aerial bombing attack on a quiet island in the pacific on a Sunday morning in December 60years ago...
or maybe it wasnt just the unprovoked attack and aerial bombing on military targets...but the coming back around and straffing innocent civilians with machine gun-fire..as they ran for cover.
Go figure...Somepeople hold grudges.leannamarie Thanks this. -
It just so happens that the earthquake hit on the 69th anniversary of General McArthur leaving the Phillipines.
