I wish I could agree with that but I guess I just get all the bad fleet managers... I have had about 10 over the last 2 years and none is better than the others. Good luck with your truck..

Wow, it IS a great day to be Craig! We had a 14:00 load time and I just called and they said "be here at 08:00 and we will get you loaded. I love it when a plan comes together.
-
Thanks. I am told it should go well. The Dr. said that it is routine but there is always a risk of complications and her does not want me too far away from the hospital that does the surgery if they were to happen. And being on the road does increase that risk. SO I tough it out here.
I want to add that I thought about going ahead and changing jobs but I refuse to do so just to then say to my new boss "I need time off for surgery." -
Well, Freightliner replaced my turbo, then the engine really started screeching. It seems that the gasket on the 5th cylinder of the exhaust manifold (or something like that...LOL) was bad. but they got it all fixed up by 10:30 last night.
Got my 34 in so now I have the hours to get home easily.....left Cincinnati this morning and my truck was soooooo quiet......am now sitting at the Shippensburg Terminal. -
Great news. Have not been to that terminal. Is that the one that is super nice. Anne cannot remember
-
We are rolling through wine country in Eastern Washington. I love it here. Dropping at Costco near Tacoma tomorrow and then grabbing a load heading to Michigan. We are stopping for breakfast tomorrow for Anne's birthday at the Salish Lodge. Amazing place

let me say that from what you have posted it looks like all you want to do is not follow the rules and then wine when things don't go your way.... gee with your attitude i just can't see why your not making money
i have been paid for every day of bd. every day of lo, every hour of detention up to 28hr's on one load, every mile when the routing was wrong, and the few times when something was wrong i had it fixed with 1 call but it does help to call and not screem and yell at them but just to tell them what is wrong and what you may have done wrong.
this comming from a driver that has been working for usx over 7 years -
your fleet manager puts you in for bd/lo pay it is up to the supervisor to approve it,
-
is your pu in fife...?

I have talked to safety, breakdown, permits, the mechanics in the shop, my training coordinator (when I was in training) and a bunch of different fleet managers. With the exception of one FM on the weekend who was losing his mind, I have been treated with respect by people who really seem to want to help. I do, however, always call with a smile in my voice and act like a caring human being myself.
