I don't beleive they have an o/o division, but I know Landstar does some hauls for them, the extra stuff that is, which they usually pass it on to the o/o's.

Well I made it to my orientation. The guy didnt even know I was coming, waited from 8am till 12 30 pm b4 he saw me. Had me watch 9 or 10 videos and fill out some more paperwork. Tomorrow I go back at noon for road test and they will go over my truck. All my decals and numbers r being sent overnite from headquarters in VA. to gaffney,sc. I should b good to go with first load in the afternoon. 1 bad thing I really dont like is after I signed all the paperwork and faxed it in. Today I find out that maxium speed allowed for 11hrs logged is 63mph. Dont know how that is going to work out, but we will see. Thats all for now.

    iamchrisstone Thanks this.

Well just found out from another o/o who has been with ups for 5months that u just only can show 63mph on log for 11hr. avg. trailors r not gps or anything just have to match fueling with your time, so can run faster just cant show more than 63mph and the miles also 693miles for 11hrs. shouldnt b too bad. Thats all for now.

    Gears and iamchrisstone Thank this.

Real odd for me to hear that is the policy for O/O trucks.

I'm a company driver for UPSF. Our limit is 65mph logged.

Curious as to why it is different for you?

Well I finished orientation today decals r on the truck, then I find out, since its been longer than 30 days since I was accepted. I have to take another drug test in the morning b4 I can get on the board for a load. I will never get on the road it seems. Hope it an instant test result so I dont have to wait very long. Will update tomorrow.
