Starting Swift Academy in San Antonio

    Have fun there. Bunch of great instructors! Say hello to Mr.Thompson, Callaway and lawless. Make sure you are at the front of the hotel at least 15 minutes early and do not be late.

    Theres a shuttle that will take you to HEB twice a week so stock up. there are only three places to eat near there. Wendy's. McDonalds and some little mexican rest.

    Have fun with Miss Virginia she will try to scare you into thinking that they watch everything that goes on at the motel. The first week is boring but once you get out on the range time fly's.

    Make sure you pack a lunch and get some suntan lotion. have fun and good luck future Swifty

    What is HEB? Is that a grocery store? Is there a full kitchen in the room. I'm going to be living very cheaply I can't be eating out every day.

    Yes, HEB is a grocery chain mainly in Texas. There are not full kitchens, but they do have small refrigerators, microwaves, and coffeepots. At least when I went they did, they changed hotels since then. They used to give a gift card for HEB ($25) twice while there. I don't know if they still do that. Say hi to Matt for me. He looks like a surfer dude. LOL, we had the same DM for a while and that is what she called him, Surfer Dude!

    hey Lungalow, how is it going out in San Antonio, I am heading out that way on Monday to start school. How is the hotel? How is your training going so far? Do they go from 7am to 5pm Monday thrrough Saturday? Thanx

    Sorry It took so long to get back on line. I have been very busy! class all week. Lots of testing. Tomorrow those who have not got there permits go test at the DPS tomorrow. Thank goodness I have mine already. So far so good. I have a 98 average so far. I told Mr Calloway hello for those who asked me too. He was quite surprised that people were chatting on line about him. The Hotel is not bad. They have small refrigerators and microwaves and coffee maker in the rooms.I have not stopped since I got here. But you all were right he is a great teacher. Bus picks you up at 6:30am and you stop class at 5:00pm and they bring you back to the Hotel.:biggrin_25525:

    Well how is the school lunglow im looking to get away from what im doing now and go to a Trucking School ive heard good and bad about Swift just any feed back from you i would be greatful thank you

    :biggrin_25519:I absolutely love these instructors. They really like what they do. And it makes it so much easier to learn. I have been doing Pad training all week. Parallel parking, off set parking, 90* docking and lots of Air break 7 step check. Finally got our first day off tomorrow. We start shifting Monday with Mr.Lawless. I told Mr.Calloway and Mr. Thompson hello, they both got a big kick out of it.

    hey Lungalow do you know if when someone gets sent home, the hotel finds them a new roomate, or do that person stays in the room themselves? Wow 19 and down to 9, I started the class after yours and 5 of us was sent packing, but I am returning once my bp is under control. How do you like it so far?
