That looks like a D8 to me, with a 13' blade. Nice for those tight spots.
I think you have loaded a little too far to the back for my taste. I prefer to get a little flex out of the trailer. That makes for a smoother ride, I think. -
Nice pictures from ACB 1. Do you have the two dozers that got stuck in the surf by EOC Bulger? I was in NMCB 4 and was deployed to San Diego when the main body had to go to Guam. We did a job at Mira Mar and of course the base there had nothing ready for us. Thanks to you guys we got our job started with the loan of a D7 and two 5t dumps. But that was back in 84. Great pics and nice to see the tri-tracked dozers.

good guess(acb-1) the oldest dozers we had there was 87-88 model (g's) but the tri-tracks are the new replacements. good to meet you gas hauler -arick

the only reason we would ahaul it that far back on the trailer is the K-wall's on the freeway going north on I-5 thru carlsbad and ocean side. with the bade on the trailer deck it will not clear the slow lane ( cement barriers-kwalls-) and the the way the people drives is unreal so for the smaller cars and "they do fit under the blade!"
hell we had yellow lights on the rig and a wide load sign on the back of the trailer with flags marking the outer blade. along with a chase vehicle(f-350 with wide load wraped around the tail gate yellow lights on it's head ache rack with two more red flags at teh conors of the head ache rack
a car came up along side of the tractor then cut over in to the trucks lane slowed down and let the truck pass her while the blade went by her it took off the mirror. but most cases it helps for the blade to but on the rear tires -arick -
