So wish I had good news to report. But dont have bad news either. Seams like no one can give me a straight answear on what I need to do. The way I understood the MTA was I could take the written test for the hazmat, go to them for the road test then do the background check. Get to sec of state and they say I need to do the background check first then can do the written test. But they also said if I get a chaufeers licnese or endorcement that that would suffice and I can at that point schedule a road test. And being I have my CDL already in hand I dont have to take the test for the chaufeers license just need to give em 35 bucks

Cargo vans with Panther that haul haz mat that doesn't get placarded Panther will not let you haul it unless you have haz mat on your DL

Well I went to the Sec of State ( the DMV) and got my Chauffers license. Now all Im down to from what I figure out is just getting a road test in and knocking that out of the park! So hopefully I can get a hold of someone tomorow and get my test scheduled soon

Road test for what ?

To get my CDL/C The Sec Of State told me that I had to get the chauffers license so I can get the class C. So now I got to do a road test and if I pass it ill get my CDL/C

Sounds interesting.
I'm working on getting out of the tractor trailer and taking classes right now, but if for some reason I got in a financial bind I might try Expedite Van. -
Well Ive always been intrigued by sprinters, first time I seen one ive always wanted to drive one. And I like that compaired to a big rig ill have more freedom and not have to worry about driving a big ol rig which the more I think about it I dont think I could do it. Plus say if i get stuck somewhere for a day or two I can roam more than I could with a big rig. Granted I know ill have to run longer and harder but hey should be fun.

I thought a chauffeur's lic. was a Class C, no road test required for a chauffeur's.jrjsi Thanks this.

In WI you only need a regular Class D to drive limo unless it holds over 15 passengers or is a bus. I drove limo for a while. I was one of the few that had a CDL. They tried getting me to get my passenger endorsement.wildbill123 Thanks this.
