I also heard that people voluntarily stopped using power because there were blackouts planned.

At least they can pull together over there.

Hitman, teddy_bear6506, 123456 and 2 others Thank this.

We were talking about this fact. Here is an event 100 times worse than Hurricane Katrina, with nowhere near the lawlessness or corruption.

And another thing I noticed, is how calm these people are. They are waiting for hours in lines at gas stations, and for fresh water, with no fighting or arguing. Their lives have been turned upside down, yet they continue on with calmness and dignity. People would be at each others throats over here.

i heard on the radio today that the people that have running water are putting signs in front of there house so people can come and fill jugs for what they need and they are even leaving there doors open so you can come right in. :biggrin_2555: Could you imagine if we did that here?

I say bravo to the Japanese people and there bravery and continued sticking together to survive this horrific deal. We should try and learn something from them as a country but we won't unfortunately.

Hitman, Ducks and teddy_bear6506 Thank this.
