Centramatics

Does anyone know who has the best deal on sales and installation of centramatics? I've been wanting to have them installed.

 

Im curious, whats the avg cost of a full set of these installed?

 

I have never heard that "whooshing" sound either, but your not the 1st to report that on here.

I'm working out a deal to buy 6 sets of these for my truck and BW9's. But so far the best
price I have is just about $170/pair...the drive ones list $20 higher than the steers for some reason.

Currently I only have them on the steers...anyone can install them. Take the wheel off. Put the balancer
on and put the wheel back on. It's that simple.

Kenworth charges $225 a pair and they get like $50-90 for install (depends on how you haggle with service).
I paid $175 for the pair of mine on the front and had KW toss them on for free when they did the kingpins.
(Of course I paid dearly...very dearly for the Kingpins.....)

 

I paid 280 for the four drives at a Speedco in Denver. I was going to rotate my drives so they didn't charge to install them.

 

Speedco has the best installed price $645 all 3 axles installed with tax out the door did mine in baytown,tx

I am talking to my supervisor about putting them on my next truck.

They use liquid mercury instead of steel balls. If a Centramatic ring gets dented, the balls can't rotate which may cause a severe out of balance situation. The mercury in Balance Masters will work no matter how bad the ring gets dinged up. They do cost more though. $225/axle online.

 

If you go to the truck show in Louisville Ky they will have a show only sale .
If you have never been to the show you really should go at least once in your life!

 

How would they get dented. The wheel does a good job of protecting them.

 

i dont know about denting but i had a set years back that had the bee bee,s in them on a old pete the bee bees got jamed up and talk about a vibration! wow.

 

The balancer should last 1-2 million miles. You (or someone else) will be changing a lot of tires, wheel seals, brakes, and/or bearings in that many miles. The balancer can be damaged at any one of these occasions. Not likely to happen going down the road.
