The DAC is used by trucking companies to tell potential employers of drivers about their driving habits, accidents, ect (a black list of sorts). This site has made one for the trucking companies them selves. You can find a link to it under the bad trucking companies section.

As to what the exact meaning of DAC stands for I am not sure.:biggrin_2555:

I work for AFS which is a division of PAM and I wish I could recommend them to you but its hard to do. I know there are worst companies to work for out there but not many. To be fair they have always paid what I had coming mileage wise but get screwed sometimes on other pay...especially detention pay. If you do decide to go with PAM try to request one of the divisions such as AFS, Choctaw, or Decker instead of PAM itself, you will be much happier.
Overall I would say its a good place to get your foot in the door and move on after a year or two.

Seems like that Driver's Solutions is rather pricey and entails a long indenture period. You may want to look at other options for driving school. They sell these driver training programs by getting you into them quickly. Have a little patience (you will certainly need it in the real world of trucking) and develop a plan to get your CDL independent of a long term commitment (at crap wages) with a trucking company. There are tons of loans, grants, and re-training programs available. The time frame will be a couple months instead of a couple weeks, but will pay off in spades.
