    It happens, I have actually been near one, I woke up to tires exploding, firemen were working on keeping the trailer cool,the cargo was Hazardous and placarded, I found out just before I left that it was propane cylinders.

    I'm glad no one was hurt in either case.

    my money goes on wiring (dash fire) or fuel line leaking....but i know id hate to have been driving....id have prolly jumped

    I helped out a driver who had a wire fire in his cab over waiting to get it looked at. The tractor burned to the ground and he lost everything. Electrical shorts are nothing to play with on a truck.:biggrin_2556:

    I don't know the circumstances here, but I know, a few years ago a lot of dash originated fires were caused by drivers connecting their "big radios" to the power source.
