Another driver shot to death

There was a reason for the shooting, but unfortunately there isn't enough information to rule out the cause of the incident. It's a shame that a crime like this one occurred near a popular restaurant.

 

That's sad! Sounds like a good christian family man nearing retirement.

Surely they could tell if it was a robbery, but it wasn't mentioned. The gun left on the scene was strange. Maybe it was stolen.
I find it strange his obituary says "he never met a stranger". He did that night. But I know what they're trying to say.

 

It is interesting the gun was still at the scene and this is being investigated as a homicide. The Amarillo Globe-News is saying ” there was no sign of a struggle on him - no sign of assault” and ”investigators are awaiting the results of ballistics tests to help determine whether Rex Douglas Stephens, 59, of Hickory Flats, Miss., shot himself or someone else fired the fatal blast” so it’s sounding more like a suicide then murder but time will tell.

 

Wow. Condolences to his family....

I hope the police determine the reason quickly, and if he was murdered, pray for the speedy arrest, trial and incarceration of the perp....
