I need some help with logs. I have never ran in Team and recently started running with Co-Driver. Question is that what is the easy and best way to log. I canot figure it out that once I go to sleeper lets say around 11.00 am and after 10 hrs I come back on duty how would I show the ending and starting KMs sometimes when I calculate I get over 1600 to 1900 KMs what am I doing wrong. Please help me so I can be legal and also as a Canadian can teams run 120/14 day cycle in USA or its just for Canada. I could have asked my safety manager but he is on Vacation.
Thanks In Advance

I am not sure if this will answer your question, but in the US you would log the miles for each driver. When you begin your day write down the mileage on the odometer. At the end write down the mileage on the odometer. Subtract the beginning from the ending and that will be the total miles for the time you drove. You codriver would do the same.
Also, the computer program Drivers daily logs would make things so much easier for you. I am sure that one of you has either a laptop or a smartphone. you could then input the info into the appropriate device. The program would then be able to compute the math for you for all available hours.Last edited: Mar 18, 2011

I don't know how it's done in Canada but I team in the states. We log as postmandav said. If it would help any, I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have about logging for team, but keep in mind.....I only know how we do it in the U.S. LOL

What I do even though I run single. Is at every stop I mark the odometer reading on the same line where you write location of your stop, then it's easy to figure at the end of your shift. Even though I run single, I do this for "other" logging reasons.chauhanprv Thanks this.

I heard some guys drive five hours each and do two logbooks.
