I still want to know exactly which company said you had to be a slave for a year if they trained you?
-
There seems to be an echo in here.....

That's just the empty space in the head of the poster!

then file bankruptcy, look for a job doing something else.
geez, that was easy.... -
This subject has been covered. Don't sign, don't work.
I am not a driver, but I have seen enough on this thread to tell you you are not trucking material. No way.
You want guarantees? How old are you? I am not being snarky, just curious.
Well, for the love of trucking, if you have seen it on youtube, it must be true!
Why would you get fired? If I signed a contract to pay eight thousand dollars, I would make sure I didnt do anything to get fired.
Have you considered the military?
You will get paid while training!
Think of it, Fun! Travel! Adventure!
Same as trucking, but in another country.
I did it. I do miss it.
Bethbikegoon Thanks this. -
Oh, I see. So if I was a large company owner, I'm supposed to train you to drive 80,000 lbs down the road in bad weather for free, give you a job, trust you with a $100,000 truck + the price of the load without a commitment from you?
What the heck are you smoking and SHARE!!!!

It's called squeaky wheel echo.
I do believe he's ignoring my question due to the fact his statement is cow pootie. It's most probable that he's referring to the fact that training companies such as Swift make you sign for a loan that will be repaid. As YOU know BW, if a Swift driver stays at Swift he in fact pays off the loan but is repaid half that money within 13 months and paid in full by 26 months. If the driver doesn't remain with Swift he must repay the loan but is not subsidized by Swift. But I suspect that hoo is calling that slavery.
I'm unaware of any company that is actually placing people into slavery. But I could be wrong. It's happened a time or two.wicked Thanks this. -

Geez Nana, haven't you read anything on this forum? Don't you know ALL these companies have slaves? Just go to the Report a bad company section and read a little and they will all tell you!
