i was told not to it would raise the compression in the cylinders to high and you will have problems later on i did a compromise instead of setting them at .20 th i set them at .25th. it worked no codes and running great with a pdi tune from mr. haneys bud jerry.also freeflow muffler and fuel temp mod. fuel mileage went up only 2/10ths but from what i have heard thats pretty good for an acert.

Was told buy a cat mechanic to get rid of any fuel line fitting that is not a straight shot into the filter base and out, ie get rid of all 45 or 90 degree fittings.Have not done it yet but in the plan. I have done the mufflers and the temp wire to mine and i am getting around 6 mpg and pulling the hills a gear higher.

not anything noticable all the iva,s do is recurculate some of exhaust gases. so all your doing is letting less exhaust to recurculate. thats the way i understand it.

The IVAs actually hold the intake valves open longer after the cam has already opened it. Take a close look at the IVAs and you will see that there is now way that they can open the intake valves by themselves. There just isn't enough oil pressure or hydrualic action for this to happen. Many people think that the IVAs act as egr and some even spew this nonsesnse in their articles (Pitts Power) hoping to sell more parts cause the public is scared of egr.

Yup;The VIVAs create a "Miller Cycle," to increase effiecentcy. Simular to valve overlap in a gas engine.

Also, please consider that the fuel temp resistor tells the ECM that you are useing less fuel so it will artificially increase your fuel mileage via ECM/QualComm. I Ave 8ish at the pump, but 9ish via QC and ECM..

I highly recommend the PDI tune, but it's best gotten from Mr. Hanny/Jerry for customer service reasons.

Based purely on design, I prefer to AirDog over the others

and that all I got to say about that (Forest Gump)

    Enjoy,

    Dr. G
