All of California is in terrible shape weather-wise it seems.

Sitting at the Pilot in Hesperia at the top of the Cajon pass. It's raining, very windy, and the temperature's dropping rapidly. If this continue's throughout the night and the temp keeps plummeting, it's going to be very unlikely that I'll be able to roll at 0530 over to Lancaster for my 0800 appointment. :biggrin_25513:

Hopefully the ice stays away tonight.

Well still sitting in the TA in Reno. Donner was closed most of the day but is open now to 4 wheel drive vehicles with chains only. Avalanch warnings out and have been told that 2 have been reported. But that was by truckers so you dont really know if it true. LOL!!! Got a great web site that shows all the traffic cams and electronic signs on Donner and other California roads.http://www.magnifeye.com/index.php Hope this helps someone else out. Trucks are parked on top of each other here right now just waiting for the word. Think when it opens I will wait a little. Load did get re-scheduled until Tuesday morning, but that means I gotta get out of here by late afternon Monday. Really don't want to drive it at night if possible. But hey I will have a fresh 70 by morning! Was up a little on the nickle slots but finally lost my $20 so now Im done for the night!
You all be safe out there!!!

007driver, how do you log a reset while under a load??? Cant do it leaglly from what I was told by compliance... DOT knows when we are under a load we still have to monitor the temps, so techniaclly your still on duty even though your not logging the monitor time

Guess Im not totally sure about that one. I will ask and see what they say in compliance. Never thaught about it that way! But if I stay off duty the QC will automaticly do a reset. Hummm!

Ok so I was told that this is like your PTI it is recorded during your drive time and should take less than 7 min. When your off duty you would not go on duty to look at the temp on the T-king. And that this is considered a less than 1 min check and is not recordable. Is this DOT correct? I will not say that because I have not found this in any DOT rules and regs yet.

    Edit: See below.

I've done 34's under a meat load and never had any complaints. Haven't tried with produce don't think I will either :biggrin_25512:.

Straight from compliance, you can't do a 34 under a load no matter the load. Even if you do nothing but sleep for 34hours straight :biggrin_2556:. But they haven't said anything in the past....

Theres the letter of the law and the spirit of the law on that one. Its more or less a Stevens policy to not take a 34 under a load. The rest of the world does it....

Dropped in Union City, GA this morning. Was told to drop trailer and bobtail out as the facility has no more empty Stevens trailers. Send in my macro 10 saying I dropped trailer. Send message to DM telling her I had to bobtail at as there were no empties on the lot. She says we cannot dispatch you until you get a trailer from there as there are no trailers available in Atlanta and surrounding areas. I ask her what about Kennesaw or Norcross? She says no completely out of trailers. SO I hang up with her and go to the window and asked when one of our trailers will be unloaded. They say between 24 and 72 hours from now.... WTF? So I put my name on the list for a trailer and give them my number. The amount of sitting around is getting pretty annoying. Out of the last 7 days I have probably sat almost 4.... so lame. Almost tempted to drop the truck at ATL Kenworth and rent a car to go home as I am less than 4 hours away....

Good luck to everyone and they're current situations!
