    Just trying to match a transmission to my engines hp/torque rating. My loads very greatly from 80k to 40k total gross. I'm getting rid of the Ultra Sh_t trans.

    you dont need such a heavy duty trans i put 1.3 mill on a 16913 hauling heavy(over 100000 lbs) and never broke it. with a 550 cat.

    i should also add that im not saying go out and get a 16913 if your wanting the 18 spd the 189s will be plenty strong for you. and a whole lot cheaper than the 22.

    I greatly appreciate your advice;Thank You. I tend to be the king of overKill. Looks like I was headed that direction again. Does the 18918 have a 2" input shaft? This engine puts out about 635 hp to rear wheels and i'd quess over 2k of torque.

    yes i ran my 16913 behind a cat that was puting out over 650hp when i was done with it. didnt have any issues.
