update on southernpride

I will add my prayer as well, I hope this fellow driver pulls thru it, And to all of those who are here and writing about him, May the good lord bless you for your efforts. Gods Speed SP.

Yes, he is a decent guy.

And I'll be in on the prayers for Mr. Pride. Hoping it's not a virulent strain of staph. His immune system has taken a beating lately.

 

I just found this thread (I've only been on the O/O forum, for some reason) and read the whole thing.

My thoughts and prayers are with southernpride and his family, and for Dino, as I know how this must be for him, too.

There are lots of us out here driving who didn't go to a trucking school. We didn't buy our trucks and start our small, one truck businesses with a degree in finance or business administration.

Many of us had someone like southernpride show us the ropes. Someone to call when we don't know what we're doing or which way to turn. Someone to call when we just need a little encouragement, or sometimes a good swift mental kick in the hind end. Some of us would never have made it without our own southernpride to turn to when we needed help.

Folks like southernpride are priceless in this business and there aren't anywhere near enough of them. If there were, this would be a whole different racket. A better one, too. I dare say that the internet could possibly change that. Look how many southernpride has influenced. I'd be lying if I said I didn't learn anything from SP's posts.

So, when one of our teachers, mentors, and professors, like southernpride is in trouble or needs help, it's a pleasure for this O/O to pay it back to folks like this any way I can. Thoughts and prayers are already in the process of being caught up on for SP. I'll be waiting for the P.O. box if southern pride and his family needs any help, and I'm sure anyone else here who's able will do the same.

Good on 'ya, Dino. Thanks for being there for an old school sure enough good hand and his family, and letting us know how SP is doing.

 

Lord, please help Mr & Mrs SP through this new setback. Please look over Dino as well. This has been such a difficult time for all those who know and love the SP's. May they feel your presence looking over them. Amen.

Dino, is SP alert and doing better without the morphine? I know you want to see him, and had planned to do so. A couple things to think about; even though the order is family only, Mrs SP should be allowed to make exceptions, have her speak with the doctor to see if she can't get you in to see him.

Also, I know you truly want to see SP, and I think it would do him and you both a world of good. However, even if you can't see him, I believe it would be good for you and Mrs SP if you could even stop to see her for a bit.

On a side note, I hope you don't mind me telling Redd how to find you at the Petro.

To be technical.... Dino found me! I sent him a PM with my number, then went inside to go about my business. When he checked his PM's, he called.

 

Cool beans......that means technically, I'm off the hook if he did mind...LOL. Now, when are you going to come through St Joseph so I can finally say I've met the Legend?

I am so sorry, hon. This is not what I had expected to read tonight. I wish I had the words to say how awful I feel for SP's. It just keeps getting worse. Each step forward seems to send him several steps back.
