I know it's been a while but I finally got some feedback from our engineers on this. Turns out that we will be keeping the restriction based on comments by NC DOT. See the below communication. Sometimes these restrictions make us look bad, when in fact they really need to be in the nav unit! Brian

We got a call back from a Mr. Jones, NC DOT Division 9, District 2 Bridge Program Manager, concerning the height restriction on Hwy 421/E. Mountain Street. Even though we already received info for the bridge, we went ahead and verified it with him. He provided the height of 13'4", which is not what we were previously given by one of Mr. Jones' department techs. (13'4" was the height we had originally set.) Mr. Jones looked at his data base, for this particular bridge again, and informed the height posted is 13'4" but the lowest portion of the bridge, when it was last measured, is actually 13' 9". He did mention that the road which crosses under the bridge is not level, it does have a slight grade. He thinks the grade would likely affect what height of vehicle could fit under the bridge. So a 13'9" truck probably wouldn't make it without brushing the bridge. We asked him if a 13'6" truck could make it..? He said that technically they probably could but that they would still be risking damage. My recommendation and his, was that unless we have visual proof that a 13'6" truck can pass under the bridge safely (both ways) we should leave the bridge as it is posted at 13'4".better safe than sorry

Try driving to the Love's in Dillond SC on I-20 out of the West. She wants you to drive to the next exit and take surface roads back.

Love's in Orangeburg SC doesn't exist, yet I spent the night there.

Went to the Petro in Glade Springs again. Still tried to route me to exit 29 and run side roads to get there. Exit 27 is where it was.

I put in the address for the Pilot in Decatur IL from Quincy. It tried to drag me through a town when it was right next to the interstate at exit 144. Couldn't figure out I was sitting in the parking lot there when I re-entered the the Pilot.

Try and get to the Home Depot DC in West Columbia SC. From Orangeburg SC to 420 Foster Brothers Dr. She routed me past the industrial park to a road with a "no thru trucks" sign. Then turn right on an imaginary street.

Then Costco Drive in Monroe Township NJ to Swift (I had the address) in Avenel NJ. It took me to an off ramp and on to a road that on the way back out had a 4 ton limit sign.

Then yesterday Madison AL to 602 John L. Aldridge Drive in Tuscumbia AL. Covenant Dr. was where I should have turned left. Instead she took me up to the traffic light, turn left, and left onto Aldridge. Guess what? No trucks!!!

This is all in the last 8 days. And there was more. I can't keep up with all of it.

No turn warnings or lane assist, again.

Plot a course west bound on I-20 from Van, TX to Garland, TX. The machine correctly picks the route:
    I-20 west, TX-557 west, US-80 west, I-635 north, etc.

However, even though you physically exit the interstate and completely change routes, the 7700 never warns of the exits or offers lane assist for TX-557 or US-80! It doesn't offer any warning or assistance until approaching I-635.
    :-(

We must have some kind of data issue with the exit at the Loves in Dillon. I have given it to our engineers.

I found the Love's in Orangeburg, no problem. It is listed under the Promiles truckstops.

According to Petro's website, the truck stop in Glade Spring is at exit 29.

Regarding the Pilot in Decatur, I did not see a problem. It takes I-72 to exit 144. The Pilot is at exit 144.

Regarding the Home Depot DC in West Columbia: 420 Foster Brothers Dr is not in our database so it is not possible to calculate a route there. This will need to be corrected in a future map update. A map update is due within the next several weeks.

Regarding the 4 ton limit sign, please provide starting location and destination address so that I can run the route. Where along the route is the road in question?

602 John L. Aldridge Drive in Tuscumbia AL: Agreed, no trucks allowed. I have given this to our engineers.

After a quick look, you will still encounter a "no truck" sign on Aldridge even if you take Covenant. However I don't know why we use 6th instead of Covenant. Covenant is more direct. I have asked our engineers to check.

When rolling onto I-75 from Knoxville to Chattanooga I looked for truck stops along the route. Nothing showed until 73 or so miles all the way to Chattanooga. Yet there was several along the way. I had to look at Charleston TN in points of interest then name the town and look in the promiles for that city.

For the 4 ton go from 10 Costco Monroe Township to 943 Omar Ave in Avenel. Then leaving Swift plot a course for Madison AL.

Did you fix the issue with the Love's in Richmond IN? Same thing, runs you down side roads to get there from the wrong exit.

Just plugged in the Petro in Glade Spring VA sitting here at the "J" in Lebanon IN. It has you get off on exit 32 onto US11 and get on Lee Highway for 3 miles.

Sitting here at the J I puched in the Pilot in Decatur IL has me get off on exit 144 onto hwy 48 list 139mi. then 142mi. to N 22nd St. This is wrong!! Coming from Quincy it tries to drag you through the wrong way. All you had to do was follow 72 a little further and it would get you there. Note all the time I was doing it that I was getting the tones to turn around etc.

I am not making this stuff up.

I am seeing a problem with the Love's as actually not having a street number in my data base. That is probably where the problem is. Bet that is the problem with all of them.

That will be $250 for my time!! :biggrin_255:

I will need to start running routes with the same exact truck setup that you are using. Please provide your truck setup:

    1. Tap on the map screen.
    2. Tap on CONFIGURE.
    3. Tap on TRUCK.
Please provide all the settings that are listed.

    thank you
