Hello All, Woke up today with 5 or 6 inches of the white crap on the ground. Sarg is picking me up around 8:30 for orientation. Looking foward to getting started. If what evryone say's, I do believe I am going to like it here. Just hope I get the miles. Wife wasn't too happy about me leaving for another OTR job, but when are they ever.LOL Gotta do what you gotta do to put food on the table and pay the bill's. She'll get over it, or she'll just have to find a boyfriend. Be safe on the road's, and I hope to see you all on the road soon.

Having fun in Reno... not LOL we where doing well till we got to our first stop in Reno no problems there got it off in record time, trouble started when the snow did this am, Donner pass is a mess so we went back to TA in Sparks and here we sit.
We found a great site for info on the mountain pass getacross80.com it updates every 5 minutes and of course we checked out 395 and it's chained up as well,so here we sit, can't do anything about acts of God LOL.

Thanks elpuft, it was great meeting you trucker4life05 and johnboy. Everybody here at Calex was very friendly and welcoming. So far, I really like it here. I got my truck today, it's a Volvo 780 with the auto shift . Couple bugs to get fixed in it in the morning, and then my first load is up to Mass. I think I am gonna like working here ( even tho my wife will probably divorse my #####) I gotta get a GPS to back up my atlas so my butt doesn't get lost. That will be my first purchase with the first check. Well, see you all later, Be safe!!

 

Be sure you get a truck GPS. You can get pretty good deals at Ebay. I use the Garmin nuvi 465T and it works great. Nice having a break down directory and truckstop directory built into the unit.
