Your best bet price wise would be a community college, that has class A training.2nd best go to a "mill",pay as you go,my kids paid as they went along, the final payment had to be made before their behind the wheel ,driving test, they won't take you to the DMV,unless you've made payment in full.(total cost for my boys was $2,800 each) Your real training starts when you get hired by a Company, and go OTR w/ your trainer, that's where you learn how to deal in actual conditions w/ shippers, recievers, breakdowns, trip planning, traffic etc.If you have no money to pay for school, there are trucking Cos that will train you for your CDL.That's your 3rd and least desirable option because if for whatever reason you don't complete the training and work for that Co long enough to pay them back, they will ruin your credit.(and they charge you around $6000,for the CDL you can get for half that amount)But it is an option that many folks take because they can't come up w/ the $ and it works out for them.

If your receiving unemployment, you also qualify for the state to pay your tuition at certain trade schools, certification programs and there SHOULD be a few CDL A/B driving schools as well.

Check out your states unemployment website, there should be a "continue your education" link or something similar.

It may be a better option than the mills...
