I have only hauled bees once,(and I hope never again)but, they were going to Mountain View,Ca.-from N.D.,all was well till I dropped into Ca. from Reno on "80"....The "people" working the scale wanted to see my bee stamp permit(?):biggrin_2554: At which I kept the stupid look on my face for 2 hrs..-and then there was a shift change.,the new lady asked to see my BOL.,told me she knew the man I was delivering to,and to go on my way..:biggrin_2556: In the meantime, the bees were having a good time flyin around,(maybe)10-50,000 of em,and when I left, they TRIED to follow their queen..but...eventually...,I suppose they figured it would be easier to find a new one, cause the black cloud, slowly,oh so slowly.....dissapated.....:biggrin_2559: (TRUE STORY) Really.........................................................................................

I run bees to ND from SO-CAL.....Running through UT requires a fire ant certificate....Never been stopped by UDOT though....They always wave me through the coop....

I have seen bees being hauled at various times of the day, but like all specialized freight
there are always some more rules to use to ensure the cargo is in good shape at the other end. Buzz, buzz...Ouch!!

They'll all be dead when you get there....

Whoever told you that was a fool...

    Good....More for me!

You need to run from sunup till sundown.
If the weather is very warm, You need to hose the load down each night. (Don't do it during the day)
They need to rest at night so don't run all day and then try to run all night.
Keep the rear end of the nets tight.
Pace yourself so that you arrive when the beekeeper wants you to...If you arrive early for an evening delivery it's not good, Nor is it good to arrive late for a morning delivery.
If you don't want to be stung by them...Haul something else!
