Thanks CCJack. It's been 3 years since I was there, so I'm sure your info is more up-to-date & accurate. I'm also pretty sure the guy (Don *Something*) that taught load securement when I was there has been replaced with someone else.

Had a TMC recruiter come to our class today. I'm defiantly impressed with what I seen from them. I filled out a application and hope to hear something from them before I finish schooling.

No problem. Nate Smith is teaching load securement. He definitely knows what he's doing. And call me Catfish. Everybody else does. :)

I'm not trying to sway you from TMC by any means (because I drive for them), but a recruiter will do anything they can to get folks to drive for them. Yup, the trucks are nice, but they're EARNED. You have to go through a lot to get one. TMC isn't for the faint of heart. Mind your P's and Q's and you'll do fine. :)

I have experiance rideing with my dad and stepdad in trucks I have tarped and straped down you still don't get a lot of exercise yes the tarps are a little heavy, and you do get to get out of your truck more that van or refer but your not going to get riped more like its going to get easier after a while, and I've seen most companys yes they say they pay but most of your check is not made from tarping, I'm 20 now I'm getting my CDL this summer and I want to do flatbedding because you do a little more.

Not sure where you heard that CAT is back in the OTR engines but they are not, that is common knowledge that they have been out since 2010 when the DEF was going to be needed to clean them up even more. Look at the new trucks for sale there is no Cat motor available in them only Cummins and Paccar for the Paccar trucks(KW's and Petes)

Also the C-15 never came with 1200 ftlbs, its is able to go from 1550-2050ftlbs and 435-625HP. TMC trucks are 475/1600 or 1650.

    CarolinaCatJack Thanks this.

Not a problem, aand from what I have been hearing (just BS probably) They will be going with Cummins. I would think they would instead of PACCAR since those PACCAR motors have not really proven themselves yet. Cummins is a great motos especailly with the DEF. Buddy of mine that is a Service Manager at Chicago Cummins said that by them adding the DEF into the mix it uses way less EGR and saves MPG, lowers collant temps, and less EGR malfunctions. I'm guessing it would be more power to since those stupid EGRs rob your power. I cant remember the number but it was in the 30-40% less range if I recall correctly. Should be nice to see.

You don't "drive" for TMC!!! You lasted like three days with your trainer and then got hurt. I even read, and commented about one of your earlier posts how you complained that your trainer was on the phone while you were forced to drive in the rain. Yet you state that you have 9 years experience!!!
You state that you have to earn the truck, this is true...you haven't, at least not yet.
I am stunned by the number of people on this site that seem to follow you on your journey to light duty. Unreal!
