confused spouse

    Ok, My husband just finished his 28 days with his trainer and now he is with his new partner who is also a new hire from same company. but they dont have a truck to drive and they were stuck in Fontana CA for 3 days, rented a car to go to Phoenix AZ where there was supposed to pick up a truck, they got there and there was no truck. they already lost about 5 days doing nothing! any advise anyone? He is getting desperate for work. and to start His loads. He has not been home since Feb 10th.
    any good avdice I can give him?

    Tell him to hang in there , things could be worse. Get on company to the REAL location of a truck would be 1st thing on my list.

    Was the truck in PHX at the company yard or abandoned at a truck stop? One piece of advice in the trucking business, always verify addresses, appointment times, just about anything told to you the driver. He should have gotten the truck #, called where it was and verified it was there and said he was coming to get it at a certain time. And then ask whoever sent him to PHX what the back-up plan is in case the truck ISN'T there.

    Who's paying for the rental, gas, and expenses to Phoenix ? If he did, he better run the other way, those are signs of what kind of company he's gonna be working for.....

    Werner, Knight, CR England, Covenant....not Swift, they wouldn't rent a car...they would get the driver in another truck with another driver and peddle away!

    Actually...I'm thinking CRST....new driver off trainer truck and already "partnered"!
