    Husker,

Thanks for the info, but the intake is not blocked and besides at this time of year I'm not worried about heat:biggrin_25525:. This old girl, at 457699 should be gone by the time I need the bunk heater.

    Be safe.

45,306 is doable in a 386 right? I'm here in Old Fort, OH, waiting for my turn to pickup baking soda apparently. On the other hand, if I run 294 to 290 to 90 to 20 and hit the back roads from Fort Dodge to the terminal and/or Sioux City, I shouldn't have to set an axle on a scale anyhow, right?

I gotta agree with you hawk on that stretch of 20! I got pulled over in Freeport right after I started here. A cop was getting on in front of me and I left my cruise set at 60 (55 zone) and I was right behind him but not tailgating. Yeah he pulled me over for going 60, gave me a clean inspection and I got $50. No speeding ticket. I guess he was bored.

Brian, you got lucky on that $50 and no ticket, wow, and no CSA points.

Hawk, I agree with you on 20, not my favorite either, I'm sitting near Cedar Rapids now waiting to deliver oil from St. Louis to vinton and fort dodge, then i guess either sioux city or le mars? Here is something funny, today in St. Louis it was 78 and sunny the closer I got to Iowa the colder it got along with the rain, and now a toasty 30 WTF!

    Be safe.

Are you taking that stuff to Consumers Supply in Sioux City? If so don't forget about the scale on 20 just north of Early. There is a CAT Scale about 25 miles from there at a truck stop & the intersection of US 6 & US 23. When I was there they lady in the front office said only tankers are allowed to use the scale, but it was late enought that the guy in the back warehouse told me it should be ok.

Tankers only WTF? Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually just running 80/680/29. Full fuel I grossed 79920 and even managed to get it almost fully balanced! 100 over on the steers on F.

Larry did we pass each other in rural Illinois late this morning?

    Husker,
I went by those scales this afternoon, thank God they were closed as I had just left storm lake, weighed in Waterloo and now I'm straight deliver in Columbus Junction in the am.

    Brian,

Nope wasn't me I've been driving all over Iowa today.

    be safe

So I've arrived at Comsumer Supply, after calling ahead and the lady telling me I can park here in back overnight, and telling the office to add that to the location directions, but I realize now they don't even have room for their own trailers! I just checked and they did add it to the notes. Oops.

Larry, didn't you read Mike's fleetwide message the other day? "Drive around all scales!" That's what he said, right?
