I was a _________ before trucking....

I was a radio DJ for 15 years, as well as semi-pro musician.

 

a bum. lol the first time i had a dozen different jobs before i went truckin. along comes a d.u.i. and i turned into a pipe/tube welder and iron worker for 14 years and i ran an airbrush shop for 5 of those 14. now i have my cdl back and i don`t weld anymore, still paint when i can but i don`t weld.

 

A recycler for a local college
A construction worker
A warehouse worker at toys r us for a day and a half lol
Correctional officer at a supermax facility for 4 yrs
A warehouse worker for dominos pizza distribution center
A carpenter
Then off to trucking school I went !!!!!

 

Plumber 8 years
Maintenance supervisor 7 years
OTR straight truck 1 year
self employed plumber 16 years
Roehl DTC next month

 

loaded trucks in canning factory after military...ran a 6-color printing press for 2 years...welder for 7 years...flat roofer for 8 years.....Heavy equipment operator in sawmill for 7 years....tryin to drive a big truck for almost 7 years... And,still,don't know what I want to do with my life,-and its almost over.?!

 

Before i was a truck driver i was in high school and worked as a mechanic at night

 

worked in a bowling center.
construction for 2 yrs.
auto mechanic 2.5 yrs.
x-ray service tech 3 yrs.
customer service rep in a bank 4yrs.
self employed 5 yrs.
otr driver 3 years and getting ready to go back.

 

I was a dubber (all around handyman) for about 5 years, during this I ran my dad's C-50 dump truck around for him and loved it.
Then I worked at ski resort, doing the same stuff but with a fancy title and benefits.
Then the kids came and it was time for something a bit more lucrative.

I've done something in foodservice since highschool until I got laid-off last summer and decided to change careers.
dishwasher, bus person, waitress, hostess, cashier, prep cook, line, grill, baker/dessert, cater chef. everything from flipping burgers to private clubs. I love food! lol
enjoying driving tho. very new to driving, but liking it so far.
