I understand about the refresher course. I'm ready to do that. I have no recent experience. According to my DAC report, the semi-major players I drove for before has me listed as "eligible for re-hire" but, that note was added before I had a run in with the law.
I'm thinking about getting back into driving

As long as your misdemeanor wasn't drug related, you should be fine.

Maybe it has to do with being honest? Why would you want to start out with a new company by being dishonest right off the bat? If you don't think it was a big deal, tell them about it and let them decide. That would be a lot better than omitting it and having to worry about getting caught later.
If you worked for me and I found out that you lied - even lying by omission - I'd fire you on the spot. A misdemeanor I can deal with. A liar I have no use for. If you insist on being a liar, try for a dispatcher's job instead. -
Again, I don't want to start a pissing contest. The US constitution allows me not to incriminate myself. Most job applications are illegal. Being arrested of something is not the same thing as being convicted. A big deference. Why admit to be arrested for something that was never proved? This country is going to hell in a hand basket. I don't want to start a pissing contest. Arrest records don't mean ####.

From checking online-DAC is a private organization, and has since been renamged to 'hide their infamous reputation'. It actually consists of what companies submit to them and actually companies are only allow to put the dates you worked for them on it. However, since there is so much money involved, they go ahead and put whatever the company ask since the companies pay for the service. I was quite surprised about this. DAC is nothing but a company-private company. The name has led everyone to believe they are federal-but nothing of the sort and not to be feared.
