Hi from Rhode Island - Seeking Info

Hello from Rhode Island. Just came across this forum and am reading lots of great information. I'm 35, married with 2 kids. Been working in the Radio broadcasting field for 15 years since graduating college. I'm just tired a need a abreak and a new challenge and experience. I've always dreamed of driving a truck. Since I was a kid. I went to a local school and had the chance to drive and back through a cone course and didn't hit one cone. I've been thinking that this might be the change in need right now but I'm learning that trucking is not as easy to get into as I thought. I make a decent salary, not great, but decent.. it would definitly hurt to lose that.. I'd want to drive but wouldnt love being away from my family for weeks on end. maybe a few days at a time. I am so torn about what to do. So I'll keep on reading and thinking and see what happens. ANyway, THANKS for all your info and advice. If nothing else, it's fun to read about trucking life! Mike
