Hello everyone, well I been driving about 15 years. Worked for companies, and pulled conatiners for other owners. Now I think I will give it a shoot, be an Owner Operator. I am sure it is a big difference. I am now driving for a company that has Orange truckes and trailers.![]()

If I were you I would decide what I wanted to pull before I go out and buy a truck. Most containers don't pay that well. I would hate to have to deal with the ports on a daily basis. I occasionally pull a container, but the rates are worth it. Most tend to be cheaper than other types of freight. It is worth more money just to put up with all the BS at some of the ports. We all have our preferences. You have enough experience to know what you want to do. I would suggest that you run the numbers before making a decision. Find your break even point on a truck and match that against what a carrier is paying and see how the numbers look.
