Deffinately GOOD LUCK!!!
I'm new too, teamed up with my hubby, and signed up with US Express. I don't know much about other companies, but I'm hoping you won't have any obstacoles or complications! So far, US Expr. turned out to be great. It's still too early to tell...
Tell me something good.....

Well I'm in. Start April 4th at the Swift driving academy. Its a good thing I have an extra week. Couldnt take my cdl permit test today. I'm waiting on my Birth Certificate. Had everything today but my BC. I ordered it 2 weeks ago, so hopefully will be here soon. It would be really bad if I cant take my test because I cant show proof of citizenship...lol Born and raised a Tennesse girl. So everyone, again thanks so much. I know I'm gonna love driving a truck and cant wait to get on the road. Any Swift drivers have any advice?

Thanks for the advice, I had looked into swift but didnt think I could get into the school without paying first. But found out that swift pays for my lodging, and training, I will pay them back over 13 months, if I stay 26 months, then swift pays me back. Plus the training program seems better than others. But I applied to CRST and was accepted and USA and was accepted. I thought I could start with them, and then go to swift later. So basically I'm starting with a great company and one that was my goal to work for once I had experience. Thanks Texas Nana for the info.

Thank you so much for the advice, If you've been reading, I applied and was accepted into the Swift Academy.
So if it weren't for you explaining it to me, I would be going to freakin Iowa. Not that anything is wrong with Iowa, but I just didnt want to go way out there for training and not knowing what to expect. I start April 4th and very excited!
So maybe I will see ya on the road somewhere.
Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
IMO running teams is very dangerous but can also benefit the driver as well. For example you and co driver or spouse may both be lost in conversation and run off cliff orrrrrr the driver may not be paying attention and the co driver can alert him or her to avoid running off cliff! Does that make sense? Yes it does!

The majority of the time a team doesn't run with both drivers awake.
And we've yet to run off a cliff.

Are you sure???
