Only because I personally know a number of fellow flatbedders that aren't great at backing, do I not take offence.

[BS]I never have to pull up. Aways get it first try. Even with Super-Bs, blindsiding around a corner in the middle of a stormy night!![/BS]

I am a green driver (about 60 days on my own). The only thing about extra pull ups that bother me is when the docks are very busy especially the yard dogs. I got cussed out by a yard dog driver in Texas a while back. I do my best to get backed in as quickly as I safely can, but I admit its not quick enough for some folks.:biggrin_25513:

In 10years of OTR driving(actually 11 now)..i have learned that most Yard spotters are low skilled, ignorant, and unlicensed fools with bad attitudes who cant even drive their little spotter cart down to get fuel.

O'and NEVER allow ANYONE to CUSS you out. Ever!!
I dont care if its shipper/receiver..or even the "Boss"..as soon as the CUSS words start to fly.I straighten them out real quick.

    Do not Cuss at me.(period)

I will be professional with everyone i meet,i require the same back.

    panhandlepat and Raiderfanatic Thank this.

I've heard an earfull from a yard dog before for the same thing - I told him, heck, if I was driving something the size of a go-cart with windows all around, I could back up quicker, too! What's the deal, yard dog? They don't trust you with a man-sized truck?

JimDriv3r, Big Don and panhandlepat Thank this.
