I am just wondering why people always ask that?:biggrin_2556: One way to keep on trucking is to be able to pass all drug tests...

Because they are dirty and figure they can get someone to tell them what they want to hear. Then they go fail the test and the blame everybody else cause they happened to be in a room where everyone but them was smoking pot and it caused them to fail the test from a contact high. :biggrin_2559:

Regardless of what people may have done in the past, people do change their lifestyle, hair tests can go way too far back, that test isnt an accurate method to test a person who may be clean now for 5 - 10 years. Face it most people have done stuff in their past, testing should encompass the testee's past year or 2 at most. No one has a right to know a persons history beyond what is reasonable. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't go with a company that does that. I would come out of the bathroom or test room with a stool sample, they can analyze that.

What is reasonable? A $100,000 truck with maybe $3 million of freight in the box? If It was my money at stake you best believe I would put the better odds of a history of a person behind that wheel.

Reasonable would be a psych evaluation and a Blood test. As humans we should not hold a person accountable for a tainted past beyond a few years if they are deemed just as qualified mentally and physically as any other driver. How many long ago party animals who have been clean for years are more qualified and safer than someone without a single smear on their past (if such a person exists)?

I've met people who claim to have been clean their whole life, and yet are nowhere near competent enough to operate a CMV. I've met people who have a tainted past and display utmost professionalism and safety.

Oh this guy smoked some weed 5 years ago but has been totally clean since, he is totally whacked now. Give me a break.
