@mushroom, if you want to go home for a few hours then they probably wont say nothing but if you want to go home for a 34 your better off dropping it and heading back to the yard.....

@brian again my bad man lol and no i cant trade wit you...im loving this truck even tho i miss my old cd player in the pete and the leg room... but the mirrors are ok, but the truck pulls alot better than my pete!! Fridge in it sucks tho.... its half the size the one in the pete!!! but good truck!! and also if i was you i would stay at that bp at the intersection of 13/58/460........ i mean you going to have a bout a 45 minute trip to the port and maybe longer in traffic as i remember the appointment was for 10:00 and the split for 564 and 64 in the morning can be hell!!!!!! thats the only alternative i can think off...

I was home, delivered at Sygma Harrisburg Monday night (which we later realized was supposed to be Sunday night...opps...), went back home, then Tuesday I picked up at Astra Zeneca in Newark, DE. If I'm not gonna make the weekend I sometimes ask them to keep me going til the next one, then they'll get me out here and turn me over to Cory.

Thanks everybody for your help on this trip. Larry if you could remember the name, location, or features of that truck stop you mentioned, that would be great. Thanks. Lol

I was going to try to meet up with my cousin today, spur of the moment, but he has to be back at Fort Eustis at 1900 for formation and he doesn't have a car. Thank you Walmart for holding me til 1030... I guess I'm going to stay here at the BP (or is a Shell? It seems confused. Oh well same thing.) That's quite a shower arrangement they have here, $10 for a shower room with no sink or toilet, and a tea towel! I dug around and found one review of the restaurant, "above average TS diner at above average prices" The watress looked above average from a distance too, maybe I'll investigate later. I'll try it out for breakfast for sure.

I've been wanting to reply to you Saienga, but I've been busy running an impossible load! Seriously though, to agree with Husker and Mattaponi, we rarely have loads that you can't make. However, we regularly run tight schedules where there's no time to sleep in and stop at Denny's, particularly the back hauls.

Also we NEVER, EVER preplan unless necessitated by no one being in the office at the time after you are empty and have hours. It drives me CRAZY but that's how they operate and I can't knock it much because we're always rolling.

Forgot to answer your other question: rarely. I just ran my heaviest load here last week, a dry load, and with full fuel I still grossed legal, barely. I've been here 3 months, and I did have one load that was loaded horribly. It was a Cargill split pickup/delivery. I may have already told this story? The first pickup was preloaded, then onto the next Cargill pickup to add more and mix for the split delivery. After they took half the night to get me a door and load it, I scaled and with my TANDEMS ALL THE WAY UP and NO FUEL my drives were over! I think the load was only like 33,000 too! Morons... But since I had to be in Omaha in the morning and couldn't weight around (hah) for them to fix it, I just took the back road.
