I've seem more than a few young guys lose trucks over this kind of stuff. They have no business plan and they have their priorities all wrong, and spend everything they make buying this crap. Do you want to make money with a truck or just drive around and look pretty.

There are plenty of good used trucks out there, nowdays fuel economy is more important than looking cool.

Thanks!i love your plan.it shows you are a dedicated and zealous man.You don't need lots of thousand buck to start your dream.start small then grow big. Most people start big and end up small with debt.

Nicer to point at a nice piece of equipment and say " Someday I'll have that " then point at it and say " I use to have that "

Dunno know if that's the way I'd see it. Seems everyone has stuff they're "gonna have". I see nothing wrong with taking a risk. If you fall on your face, at least you tried. World has enough people in it who are "gonna do something".

I got lucky. started with no money it worked for me. Very easily could of went the other way. Had I waited till I was rich to buy a truck and have a million dollar maintenance fund set aside and everything else people to tell you to have, I'd still be saving. It's trucking, not rocket science.

This would be a good truck to avoid like plague. If by some slim chance it has a serial# prefixed "6NZ" C15 then it might be ok but the vast majority of 2003 Cat equipped trucks have the notorious "bridge motor" serial prefix "MBN". They are decent motors when unbridged but that cost money. Otherwise they're a cracked head waiting to happen, high temperatures egt's, water, very poor fuel economy.. ..so unless you want to spend the money to make it right don't bother. Seeing it's a stripped down company truck I'd pass... Mine is a nice loaded up o/o spec truck with a bridge motor but other than that, been there done that and got the t-shirt... :biggrin_25523: Nobody ever told me about the "bad" single turbo cats I found out the hard way cause I didnt do homework on that..:biggrin_25523:

Nobody told him to BUY the darn thing , was an example of what his $ would buy and just stating the fact that many O/O started out in old WALMART trucks.
