I would see a doctor. people are living longer more satisfying lives thanks to modern medicine. I'm thinking it's going to be difficult to get a medical card for ya, but I don't really know. Best of luck to ya.

YES it can... any condition that might affect your ability to be alert at all times. If the atrial fibrolation gets bad enough you might loose consciousness while driving.
1)Make sure the doctor treating you knows you are a CMV operator.
2) Get a letter from the doctor treating you for cardiac issues explaining the diagnosis and treatment you are getting. Have them give their medical opinion in writing
Will this condition and the medications you are on...affect your ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle?
3) Have that letter available for your next DOT physical. You need that letter ASAP to cover your butt just in case you have an accident between now and when you have your next DOT physical.
4) Plan on probably needing to get a cardiac stress test for your next DOT physical. If you do or don't is a medical opinion by the medical examiner. I would SERIOUSLY plan on getting a consultation appointment with the DOT medical examiner before your current card expires to see what tests or letters you will need.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES...follow any advise given to just lie on your next DOT physical and not tell anyone about your cardiac issues. IF you do... first its federal perjury... second if you have a wreck they WILL get all your medical records.. read the NTSB report about Donald Creed and the fatal accident in Miami OK to get a taste of what can happen....
There are medical examiners that KNOW their stuff and will work with drivers to jump through the right hoops with things like what you have. Dr. John McElligott out on Knoxville is one. If you need more info PM me.Meltom and TheHealthyDriver Thank this. -
Please tell me this was a joke post.

Check with a nutritionist. There are other options than meds! I promise!

Not for his issue. It needs meds or pace maker depending on how bad it is.
TheHealthyDriver Thanks this. -
Agreed. I've never heard of fixing an irregular heartbeat from a change in diet.
