I am not terribly sure about the stop in Medina but the Sysco in Baraboo has room for overnight parking. I may have been to Medina before but I've done so many Georges loads it's kinda hard to keep track of them. @Hawk I'm assuming that you are meaning the in-dash radio right? When I switched mine out all I had to do was get a wiring harness that will match up the connections of the radio to the factory wiring in the dash without any cutting and splicing. I am assuming that you would be able to get this from a KW dealer, a buddy of mine owns a car audio store so I had him order it for me. how do u pull out the radio??? i seen a radio removal kit inside the dash wit two small horseshoe type tools???

 

On the face of the radio there are two holes on each side, insert those "U" shaped tools until you hear them click. Then spread them apart & pull out the radio. Sometimes it takes a little wiggle action to get to slide out.

 

So does Burris just not give a #### about how they package product and load a trailer, or am I a bad driver? I opened up the doors at Devault this morning and said, "WTF!" Rear two pallets everywhere, meat boxes tops fallen off. I had two tall pallets in the middle that were screwed up too. Most of the pallets, including the rear two, were only wrapped at the top, single layer. I haul a Tyson load from Dakota City, NE to Harrisburg, PA almost every week and everytime when I open the doors there, everything looks perfect. So I don't think it's me...

 

I always make burris restack and wrap anything that dont look right....cause must claims will come back against the driver if you take it as it is...fyi

 

If you picked it up at Lyndhurst they usually just throw stuff in the trailer willy nilly with maybe 1 spin around with shrink wrap. @scottchris normally I am the same way, I want the least amount of headaches as possible. Our trailers are preloaded and sealed at this particular Burris so it's hard to tell how it is loaded until the big reveal at the receiver.

 

Precisely Husker. Larry I called him this morning. He said he would call and see what's going on. Hopefully thats what he meant. We got real lucky though. They had me fix the pallets and they only refused two that the box tops fell off of.

Rob thanks for that wiring harness link. I've looked for that before and found nothing. I'll check it out later.

Half of my trip planning questions seem to be about food: Is that a diner at the roundabout in Jersey City? And can I park long enough to eat there in that dirt lot across the street? Larry speaking of letting yourself go: I was looking at the Denny's menu here in Carlisle, pondering all sorts of junk, then I grabbed my gut, and ordered the cranberry pecan chicken salad. It was actually a good quality salad (all mixed greens no iceburg, and the chicken fell apart) but it's still a salad you know?

 

We've been dealing with them for years, everyone knows how they are & they are never going to change. Same goes for Georges! Let me tell you, more often than not if you make a request for a meal that is within reason most places will do it for you. I eat a lot of grilled chicken breast with a plain baked potato & vegetables and the waitress always looks at me screwy when I say I don't want all the gravy, cheese or special sauce slathered all over the place. If you order smart you can actually eat pretty healthy on the road.
