I noticed that you live in PA. Does Lone Mountain have any branches in this part of the country ?

No they do not, they have two locations. One is out in the mid west and one is down south in GA I believe it is.

My husband and I (team O/O's) bought a 2007 International 9400i tractor that is "above average" condition in looks, BUT in 3 months time (Jan.2011 to now, March 2011) it has been in the shop 6 times and are about to have to put it in again for another problem. We have literally spent $5,000 in these first 6 repairs, and now are about to have to spend another $3,200. We are talking radiator, mismatched drums, leaking seals/wheel bearings/RACE(countless problems), exhaust system problems, etc. My husband, a 17 year veteran O/O who has owned many trucks, new and used, says he has never seen this many problems that were so deceptively well hidden. One red flag was that they tell you to take the truck to this specific Freightliner DOT inspection outfit, where you can have it DOT inspected for free. Of course they passed the truck with flying colors, only to find out that when the company we are leased to inspected it (as they require), to our horror found all sorts of problems with the wheel/axles/brakes and a totally beat (dead) ICON unit that was causing the truck to shut off on its own. The system was hard wired into the engine, so to get it out so the truck was drivable, it all had to be torn apart. Imagine that bill? Once getting the truck on the road, since we had been "down a week" b/c of being in the shop, it broke down again and again. This was within the first month of owning the truck, so we called Lone Mountain to ask for something to be done, and they agreed to help us out with some of the expense we had put out. Then, they turned around and said, "you should have brought the truck to us and have us do the work, so we can't help you with any reimbursment". We live 7 hours away from them, so they knew that was not feasible nor a realistic expectation. And their bogus warranty that is 200,000 mi/2 years? Didn't cover ANYTHING! I haven't even mentioned the horrible customer service while there to buy the truck... Just find your other options/resources and steer clear of this neverending nightmare we have had!:biggrin_25510: Any other drivers wanna talk about similar experiences?--- Please contact me ASAP. Thank you!

Over the phone, at first, our experience was excellent as well. Just wait til you get there and you are no longer a priority. That should have been the first red flag reason to walk to f*** out of there!

when i got mine from there i was told to take it to a shop of my choosing to get an inspection, which i paid for myself s well as the dyno. very pleased with mine as are all other i have ran into with a truck from there. my experience and the exp of at least 20 other guys i have met with lmt trucks are very different from yours.

Same with me.... I took it to a shop of my choice for DOT. I skipped out on the dyno, so any hidden mechanical faults were my issue.

The only issue that I don't like about my truck is the boat anchor for an engine. But that isn't Lone Mountains issue. That's the manufacturer.

I'll deal with them again as long as they have trucks equipped with different engines then the one I choose.

Chunkinpumpkin.... Were you going across I-40 in Arizona/New mexico yesterday? I thought I saw ya & hollered..... Then I remembered about your pawn shop special cb radio.

I took a load of Humvee's out of Mass to Camp Pendleton. Delivered this morning. Tomorrow I'm taking a local run down to San Diego. Then loading aircraft parts Friday for Wichita.

The only reason why I came out here this time is because 90% of our fleet is in Louisville for the truck show.
