    my cd will not key up when i try to talk but i can hear everything that is said to me the power comes on but i can not get out does anybody have an anwser to help

    When you key the mic, does the radio go to transmit mode or does it continue to receive even with the mic keyed? Do you have a TX light or meter on your radio? If you have a light or meter, when you key the mic, the light should come on and/or the meter should swing to the right. If you have LED's a few of them should light.

    A 29 cobra with the RFX-75 put in and RK56 mic will do you fine and last.

    May not be your radio...Could be a bad Mic...

    For the record..."Uniden's and Cobra's" are basically the same radios...Only difference is the face...The insides are exactly the same.

    Uniden 68, same as a Cobra 25
    Uniden 78, same as a Cobra 29
    Uniden Pro520XL same as Cobra 18
    Uniden Pro 510XL same as Cobra 19 IV

    Got one of those coming tomorrow only the 29 is WXNWBT and the RK56 modded for the BT and threw in an echo board. DKs at 15 and swings over 120!
